Off to the Cape

by Emily H.

From post-flight drugged sleep,
I wake up to the sunny Fens,
First a run…then we’re off!

Two-Day Recap in 3 Lines

by Emily H.

Climbed a 10b: hard.
Left running shoes in Erik’s car: gah.
Flew to Boston: yay!

Took the #40 bus here at 9am today. A bit early to go gear shopping, for my taste.

Long Run at 5280′

by Emily H.

Start slow, continue slow,
Breathe steady, keep your shoulders down,
Head up, eyes on the peaks.

This was made (not by me) for the NYC marathon, but looks a lot like how I feel at altitude…albeit without the armpit hair.

First Week Back

by samanthalenore

Last run: November.
May rain jumps on my red face.
Ouch, owwwch, whimper, whine.

Mountain Time

Weekend Travels, in Review

by Emily H.

Thursday: Brooklyn Boulders,
I conquer slab wall; Avengers
Conquer all. Go Hulk.

Friday: Inside Boston’s
City Hall brutalism,
A marriage license!

Saturday: To Dedham
Then Denver, via Southwest:
Scoots gets a good seat.

Sunday: Sunburned run
(Closer to the sun, the mountains,
And sweet little Sam.)

And a Supermoon!

Two Weeks Travel

by Emily H.

Boston tomorrow,
Then Denver, the Cape, then back
To New York. Rinse, repeat.

Running, sunshine, climbing.

What Crazy Thinks Like, #1

by Emily H.

If I race a 5k
On my wedding morning, should I
Run ten more after that?

Rain and Punishment

by Emily H.

Ran in the mist today,
Chilly valleys, warm ascents,
Then Scoots got a bath.

wet Scoots refuses to make eye contact
